Traffic Infrastructure

Road transport: the area of the county is dominated by the so-called Podravina transport corridor. Priorities in the road construction are the highway Virovitica - Slatina (D-2 , or the so-called “Podravska magistrala”) and Terezino Polje (Hungarian border) – Grubišno Polje (D-5), as well as the connection with the highway Zagreb-Vrbovec-Bjelovar-Virovitica-Barcs (corridor Vb). Road border crossings towards Hungary: Terezino Polje (international border crossing, 1st category)

Railway transport: in the direction east – west: Dalj-Osijek-Koprivnica-Varaždin

River transport: the river transport on the river Drava forms part of the international navigation regime. Drava waterway has been classified in three navigation categories. The length of the waterway on the territory of the county amounts to 75 km and is classified (according to UNECE) as the 1st waterway category (the section D. Miholjac-Ždalice).

Regular transport is carried out to Barsca (157,0 r km).
